Osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (OVCF) caused by osteoporosis is a common clinical fracture type. There are many surgical treatment options for OVCF, but there is a lack of comparison among different options. Therefore, we counted a total of 104 cases of OVCF operations with different surgical plans, followed up the patients, and compared the surgical outcome indications before, after and during the follow-up. ⋯ To conclude, mPSO could acquire a favorable degree of kyphosis correction as well as fewer follow-up complications. Compared with other surgical methods, it also has the advantages of less surgical trauma and shorter operation time. It can be an effective solution for the treatment of OVCF.

To comparatively analyze the correlation between axial symptoms (AS) and cervical sagittal alignment parameters after anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) and hybrid surgery (HS). ⋯ Both ACDF and HS can achieve satisfied clinical outcomes. ACDF and HS can improve cervical sagittal balance to a certain extent, and HS is superior to ACDF in maintaining ROM. The decrease of the last Cobb's angle C2-7 and the increase of the last C2-7SVA may be related to the occurrence of AS after ACDF. The increase of the last C2-7SVA was an independent risk factor for the occurrence of AS after HS.

To evaluate the association between facet joints cross-sectional area asymmetry (FCAA) and cervical intervertebral disc herniation (CDH). ⋯ FCAA is evaluated as an independent risk factor for CDH and associated with the orientation of disc herniation. And facet joint orientation may also play a role in cervical spine degeneration rather than facet joint tropism.

Double crush syndrome (DCS) is characterized by multiple compression sites along a single peripheral nerve. It commonly presents with persistent distal symptoms despite surgical treatment for cervical radiculopathy. Management typically involves nerve release of the most symptomatic site. However, due to overlapping symptoms with cervical radiculopathy, patients may undergo cervical surgery prior to DCS diagnosis. Due to its rarity and frequent misdiagnosis, the authors aim to utilize a large national database to investigate the incidence and associations of DCS. ⋯ This study presents data indicating that 1.42% of patients who receive cervical surgery may have underlying DCS and potentially benefit from nerve release prior to undergoing surgery. A concurrent diagnosis of diabetes and obesity may predict an underlying DCS.

To investigate potential of enhancing image quality, maintaining interobserver consensus, and elevating disease diagnostic efficacy through the implementation of deep learning-based reconstruction (DLR) processing in 3.0 T cervical spine fast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images, compared with conventional images. ⋯ Our investigation establishes that 3.0 T fast MRI images subjected to DLR processing present heightened image quality, bolstered diagnostic performance, and reduced scanning durations for cervical spine MRI compared with conventional sequences.
