Perceptions of managerial competencies, style, and characteristics among professionals in nursing.
To compare nursing leaders' and employees' perception of leaders' leadership style, personality characteristics, and managerial competencies and to determine the associations between these factors. ⋯ Leaders in nursing too frequently used inappropriate leadership style. Forming a unique model for all health care institutions in the country would facilitate the evaluation of competencies and constant monitoring of leaders' work results.

Attitudes of Slovenian family practice patients toward changing unhealthy lifestyle and the role of family physicians: cross-sectional study.
To assess patients' attitudes toward changing unhealthy lifestyle, confidence in the success, and desired involvement of their family physicians in facilitating this change. ⋯ Family physicians should regularly ask the patients about the intention of changing their lifestyle and offer them help in carrying out this intention.

Comparative Study Clinical TrialBlood lactate levels in patients receiving first- or second- generation antipsychotics.
To compare the blood lactate levels between patients with psychotic disorder receiving first- and those receiving second-generation antipsychotics. ⋯ It is important to be aware of the potential effect of haloperidol treatment on increase in blood lactate levels and occurrence of extrapyramidal side effects. Therefore, alternative antipsychotics should be prescribed with lower risk of adverse side effects.

Urban-rural differences in a population-based breast cancer screening program in Croatia.
To investigate urban-rural differences in the distribution of risk factors for breast cancer. ⋯ Identification of rural-urban differences in mammography use and their causes at the population level can be useful in designing and implementing interventions targeted at the reduction of inequalities and modifiable risk factors.
