Raised D-dimer Level among COVID-19 Patients in a Tertiary Care Hospital: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Serum D-dimer is a protein fragment generated during the final phase of clot formation. Increased serum D-dimer levels indicate the hemostatic change in patients, likely related to the prothrombotic switch. As the world is battling with the damaging effect of coronavirus disease, it is very important to find out the early and effective predictors of prognosis to improve the management of COVID-19 patients. Thus, our study aims to find out the prevalence of increased D-dimer levels in coronavirus disease patients. ⋯ corona virus disease; d-dimer; disease severity.

Dominance of Carrying Angle in Right-hand among Dental Students of a Teaching Hospital: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Carrying angle is an acute angle formed between extended arm and forearm when palm is directed forward. This angle is formed due to the angulation of the articulating surfaces of the humerus with the forearm. The angle is greater in dominant hand than in non-dominant hand in both males and females. Thus, this study aims to measure the carrying angle and find the prevalence of dominance of the carrying angle in the right-hand among dental students. ⋯ elbow; hand; humerus.

Internship Experience: A Transition from Academic World to Health Care Workplace.
Internship is the training period during MBBS in which medical students will be able to learn methods/modalities to administer actual practice of medical and health care based on the knowledge gainded in their medical school. The students will get short-term supervised professional learning experience in different departments of medical and surgical specialities and have opportunity to develop professional networks within their intended career field. ⋯ An internship can be a powerful medium for personal and professional growth as it allows the sense of responsibility towards the patients, their family and the organisation. It is indeed a great opportunity to have a hands-on learning experience prior to graduation of medical school.
