Technologic advances have resulted in the expansion of web-based conferencing and education. While historically video-conferencing has been used for didactic educational sessions, we present its novel use in virtual radiology read-outs in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Knowledge of key aspects of set-up, implementation, and possible pitfalls of video-conferencing technology in the application of virtual read-outs can help to improve the educational experience of radiology trainees and promote potential future distance learning and collaboration.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected medical education in unprecedented ways. Herein, we briefly describe the affects of COVID-19 on Interventional Radiology residency training and summarize up to date guidance by governing bodies and key stakeholders.

To evaluate the additional value of diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI) in the characterization of cervical carcinoma. ⋯ ROI and VOI analyses were in excellent consistency. MD and ADC were able to distinguish histologic subtypes and separating FIGO stages, MK could not. DKI showed no clear added value over conventional DWI in the characterization of cervical carcinoma.

To retrospectively analyze the chest imaging findings in patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on thin-section CT. ⋯ COVID-19 showed the pulmonary lesions in patients infected with COVID-19 were predominantly distributed peripherally in the subpleural area.

Congenital heart diseases (CHD) belong to the leading causes of infant mortality worldwide. Prognostic improvements result from multimodal therapy strategies leading to an increased demand for noninvasive imaging. The aim of the study was to further optimize cardiac CT radiation dose by omitting the test bolus or bolus tracking scan, which can have a relevant share of radiation exposure, especially in neonates. ⋯ Cardiac high-pitch CTA of neonates with CHD can be performed safely and dose-reducing without additional test bolus or bolus tracking scan. With very good image quality, it provides a detailed insight into the cardiac anatomy and thus enables a differentiated, noninvasive therapy planning.
