Case ReportsUnilateral Optic Neuropathy due to a Sphenoid Mucocoele.
Isolated sphenoid sinus mucocoeles are rare; whereas, benign lesions usually discovered incidentally. These may present with headache, diplopia, visual loss or ocular motor nerve palsies, due to slow expansion and mass effects. Prompt endoscopic removal is the key to prevent permanent sequelae. ⋯ Our ENT Department performed endoscopic sinus surgery and removed it, but her vision did not return at 6-month follow-up. Although very rare, sphenoid sinus mucocoeles should be considered in the differential diagnosis of any patient, who presents with sudden visual loss. Case ReportsProgressive Thoracic Kyphoscoliosis leading to Paraplegia in a Child with Neurofibromatosis Type-1.
In this case report we describe a case of a 13-year male with neurofibromatosis type-1, who had been suffering from progressive thoracic kyphoscoliosis that resulted in spinal cord compression and paraplegia. The report is meant to highlight the importance of timely detection and adequate follow-up of spinal deformities, associated with neurofibromatosis. Such deformities, if not effectively addressed, may progress corresponding to skeletal growth and lead to secondary problems, as was seen in our patient, who ultimately developed paraplegia. We present a case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVİD-19) re-infection where the time interval between two COVİD-positive episodes is the longest in the literature. A 40-year male patient was admitted to the Emergency Department with complaints of sore throat, cough and diarrhea; and was re-diagnosed as COVİD-19 positive after a virus-free period. He did not have a chronic disease in his anamnesis and used no medication. ⋯ In this case, the time to second COVİD-19 infection was 94 days from the first positive PCR test and 86 days from the complete resolution of symptoms. This is one of the longest COVID-19-free period between two episodes of infection in the literature. Key Words: COVID-19, Recurrence, Re-infection, Recovery.

Observational StudyAcute Morbidity and Mortality Analysis of COVID-19 in Children Receiving Cancer Treatment.
The aim of this study was to determine overall morbidity and mortality of COVID-19 infection in children on cancer treatment. It was an observational study, carried at Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital from 1st April 2020 to 31st July 2020. A total of 165 children on active cancer treatment were tested for COVID-19 with PCR; out of these, 17 were detected positive. ⋯ Chemotherapy was modified in five children, while elective surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy schedule were affected in eight children. Overall, the spread of Covid-19 was limited, the course of disease was mild, and anticancer treatment was provided and continued as per standard protocols. Case ReportsMultiple Carboxylase Deficiency Organic Acidemia as a Cause of Infantile Seizures.
Multiple carboxylase deficiency organic Acidemia is a rare inherited metabolic disorder. It is autosomal recessive disorder of two types: Holocarboxylase deficiency and Biotinidase deficiency. It is the metabolic disorder resulting from deficiency of biotin as a co-enzyme or reduced activity of biotin-dependent carboxylases (propionyl CoA carboxylase, and 3-methylcrotonyl CoA carboxylase and pyruvate carboxylase). ⋯ One sibling's death at 2nd day of life due to similar complaints. Initial presentation of raised ammonia and lactate levels were the first indication to this organic academia, which was later proven by increased peak levels of various organic acids on urine organic acid analysis by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.
