Case ReportsDigital Necrosis Due to Septic Embolism: An Unseen Complication of Gangrenous Cholecystitis.
Gangrenous cholecystitis is one of the most severe complications of cholelithiasis. It causes serious morbidity and mortality. The main pathology in this complication is progressive vascular insufficiency, which may lead to necrosis and perforation of the gallbladder wall. ⋯ Embolism and necrosis in distant organs as a complication of gangrenous cholecystitis have not been reported till date. In this case, we present a patient, who developed necrosis of the fingers and toes due to septic embolism as a complication of gangrenous cholecystitis. Case ReportsNeurological Manifestations in Two Cases of En Coup De Sabre.
Scleroderma En Coup de Sabre (ECDS) is a form of localised scleroderma that primarily develops in the younger population, usually before the age of 18 years and occurs on the scalp or forehead. In localised scleroderma, en coup de sabre, many studies and case reports describe neurological signs and symptoms. ⋯ It is important to specifically inquire about neurological symptoms and signs in the history and examination, respectively, and to consider neuroimaging in patients with scleroderma en coup de sabre to diagnose and treat neurological complications. Case ReportsTreatment of Gastrointestinal Corrosive Burns Caused by Highly Lethal Glyphosate Solution Poisoning.
Glyphosate was developed by Monsanto in the United States in the 1870s and has now become the world's best-selling pesticide. It is used in more than 100 countries and regions. Glyphosate is generally considered to be less toxic or even safe for mammals, including humans, and most patients with glyphosate poisoning have a better prognosis. ⋯ After the active rescue, scar contractures occurred in both the ooesophagus and trachea.
