Randomized Controlled Trial Clinical TrialSexual risk reduction interventions for patients attending sexual health clinics: a mixed-methods feasibility study.
Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) continue to represent a major public health challenge. There is evidence that behavioural interventions to reduce risky sexual behaviours can reduce STI rates in patients attending sexual health (SH) services. However, it is not known if these interventions are effective when implemented at scale in SH settings in England. ⋯ We were unable to conclude whether or not a definitive RCT would be feasible because of challenges in implementation of a pilot, but have laid the groundwork for future research in the area.

Clinical TrialElectronically delivered interventions to reduce antibiotic prescribing for respiratory infections in primary care: cluster RCT using electronic health records and cohort study.
Unnecessary prescribing of antibiotics in primary care is contributing to the emergence of antimicrobial drug resistance. ⋯ Strategies for antimicrobial stewardship should employ stratified interventions that are tailored to specific age groups. Further research into the safety of reduced antibiotic prescribing is also needed.

Three biomarker tests to help diagnose preterm labour: a systematic review and economic evaluation.
Preterm birth may result in short- and long-term health problems for the child. Accurate diagnoses of preterm births could prevent unnecessary (or ensure appropriate) admissions into hospitals or transfers to specialist units. ⋯ The National Institute for Health Research Health Technology Assessment programme.
