Case ReportsIsolated pancreatic tuberculosis: a diagnostic challenge.
Abdominal tuberculosis is quite commonly found in miliary tuberculosis, especially in countries where TB is endemic, however the abdominal localization of tuberculosis in absence of disseminated disease is a rare condition and the involvement of the pancreas alone is extremely rare. Epidemiology of TB is changing in the latest years, often this illness is found in non-endemic regions and physicians are asked to interpret what happen when an old disease meets new diagnostic technologies. We describe the case of a young male admitted in our hospital for abdominal pain. Echotomography, CT scan and MRI showed a pancreatic mass suspected to be cancer and susceptible to surgical treatment, Endoscopic Ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration (FNA) showed isolated pancreatic tuberculosis.

Comparative Study Clinical Trial[Chronic pelvic pain treatment with posterior tibial nerve stimulation].
Chronic pelvic pain is a common problem that has a high impact on quality of life of patients who are affected. The technique of percutaneous neuromodulation by electrical stimulation of the tibial nerve (Percutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation PTNS) is described by Stoller for the treatment of overactive bladder syndrome in the 90s is currently being tested in the treatment of chronic pelvic pain. ⋯ In conclusion, the use of PTNS in the treatment of chronic pelvic pain shows encouraging results in patients not responding to standard analgesic therapy.

Case ReportsPapillary thyroid cancer in a young woman affected by giant congenital melanocytic nevus, ultrasound diagnosis.
Data literatures report numerous association between giant congenital nevus and development alteration; only two cases describe its coexistence with thyroid disorders. However, we report the association of papillary thyroid cancer and giant congenital nevus. Papillary thyroid cancer is the most common differentiated thyroid cancer and has high prevalence in young women. ⋯ At last, fine-needle percoutaneus aspiration on thyroid lesion confirmed the presence of papillary carcinoma. In our case, thank to the optimal visualization of the parenchyma structure, US was diriment allowing a diagnosis of primitive thyroid lesion with an involvement of all lymph nodes in the neck. This findings legitimate the role of US as an accurate, noninvasive, radiation free and low-cost imaging technique in detecting differential diagnosis in the cervical lymphadenopathy, as well in preoperative staging thyroid carcinoma.

Accessory osseous passages in the vicinity of foramen rotundum in a dry adult human skull: morphological evaluation, embryological correlation and clinical reappraisal.
An unusual bony depression with accessory osseous passages in the right side of middle cranial fossa was observed in a dry adult human skull. It was located below the superior orbital fissure and optic canal. The bony depression was divided into two parts ,medial and lateral fossa, by an incomplete oblique bony septum. ⋯ The foramen rotundum led as usual into the pterygopalatine fossa. The presence of such an abnormal bony depression in the right middle cranial fossa with accessory osseous passages in the vicinity of the foramen rotundum is highlighted in the present case, with embryological correlation and clinical relevance. Anatomical awareness of such variations in the middle cranial fossa are important for the present day radiologist who interprets imaging for this area, neurosurgeons , who operate in this area in the vicinity of cavernous sinus and anaesthetists, during regional block anaesthesia.
