Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyAssociation of uterine fibroids and pregnancy outcomes after ovarian stimulation-intrauterine insemination for unexplained infertility.
To investigate the association of non-cavity-distorting uterine fibroids and pregnancy outcomes after ovarian stimulation-intrauterine insemination (OS-IUI) in couples with unexplained infertility. ⋯ NCT01044862.

Observational StudyWhat is a difficult transfer? Analysis of 7,714 embryo transfers: the impact of maneuvers during embryo transfers on pregnancy rate and a proposal of objective assessment.
To establish the relationship between the degree of difficulty of ET and pregnancy rate (PR), with a view to proposing an algorithm for the objective assessment of ET. ⋯ The CPR decreases progressively with the use of additional maneuvers during ET. An objective classification of the instrumentation applied during ET is proposed.

Fertility treatment and childhood type 1 diabetes mellitus: a nationwide cohort study of 565,116 live births.
To investigate the association between specific types of fertility treatment and childhood type 1 diabetes mellitus. ⋯ No association between fertility treatment and childhood type 1 diabetes mellitus was found. Ovulation induction or intrauterine insemination with follicle-stimulating hormone may be associated with an increased risk of childhood type 1 diabetes mellitus. However, this finding may be due to chance or to confounding by indication and thus requires further investigation.

Review Meta AnalysisUndergoing varicocele repair before assisted reproduction improves pregnancy rate and live birth rate in azoospermic and oligospermic men with a varicocele: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
To evaluate how varicocele repair (VR) impacts pregnancy (PRs) and live birth rates in infertile couples undergoing assisted reproduction wherein the male partner has oligospermia or azoospermia and a history of varicocele. ⋯ Oligospermic and azoospermic patients with clinical varicocele who undergo VR experience improved live birth rates and PRs with IVF or IVF/ICSI. For persistently azoospermic men after VR requiring TESE for IVF/ICSI, VR improves sperm retrieval rates. Therefore, VR should be considered to have substantial benefits for couples with a clinical varicocele even if oligospermia or azoospermia persists after repair and ART is required.

Multicenter Study Comparative Study Observational StudyAutomatic time-lapse instrument is superior to single-point morphology observation for selecting viable embryos: retrospective study in oocyte donation.
To correlate the different categories provided by a commercial diagnostic test with blastocyst formation, quality, implantation potential, and ongoing pregnancy (OPR) for the purpose of validating the automatic annotations and the classification algorithm. ⋯ Our study presents, to our knowledge, the largest set of transferred embryos after time-lapse analysis with the use of an automatic time-lapse test. The provided classification was related to reproductive outcome. Our results suggest that the automated embryo diagnostic test provided extra information to the embryologist to select the best embryos, independently from clinical features of the patient or day of transfer.
