How compliant are in vitro fertilization member clinics in following embryo transfer guidelines? An analysis of 59,689 fresh first in vitro fertilization autologous cycles from 2011 to 2012.
To determine whether IVF clinics are compliant with American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) (ASRM/SART) guidelines and assess the multiple pregnancy outcomes according to the number of embryos transferred. ⋯ Most first fresh autologous IVF cycles performed from 2011-2012 were compliant with ASRM/SART guidelines, except those that involved a blastocyst ET in patients <35 years. Despite compliance, cycles that involved the transfer of >1 embryo resulted in a high multiple PR, whereas noncompliant cycles resulted in an even more remarkable multiple PR for both cleavage and blastocyst-stage embryos. Clinics need to be more compliant with ET limits and ASRM/SART need to consider revising their guidelines to limit the number of blastocyst transfer to one in patients ≤40 years of age undergoing their first IVF cycle. Furthermore, decreasing the number of cleavage-stage embryos transferred in patients ≤40 years of age should also be considered.

Multicenter StudySerum microRNAs as diagnostic markers of endometriosis: a comprehensive array-based analysis.
To investigate serum microRNAs (miRNAs) in women with endometriosis. ⋯ We identified several miRNAs in serum that distinguished subjects with endometriosis from those without. miR-125b-5p had the greatest potential as a single diagnostic biomarker. A combination of that miRNA with miR-451a and miR-3613-5p further improved diagnostic performance.

Comparative StudyDizygotic twin pregnancies after medically assisted reproduction and after natural conception: maternal and perinatal outcomes.
To compare maternal and perinatal outcomes in dizygotic twin pregnancies conceived after medically assisted reproduction (MAR) with outcomes after natural conception (NC). ⋯ Overall, maternal and perinatal risks other than those due to multiplicity are similar for twin pregnancies conceived after MAR and after NC.

Risk factors for ectopic pregnancy in assisted reproductive technology: a 6-year, single-center study.
To explore factors affecting the incidence of ectopic pregnancy (EP) in assisted reproductive technology (ART). ⋯ Irrespective of tubal infertility, for fresh IVF/ICSI cycles the rate of EP is positively associated with ovarian stimulation; for thawed IVF/ICSI cycles, blastocyst transfer or transfer with fewer embryos reduces the EP rate. In IUI cycles, EP is associated with sperm source.
