The SpineST-01 system is an image-guided vertebrae cannulation training system. During task execution, the computer calculates performance-based metrics displaying different visual perspectives (lateral view, axial view, anteroposterior view) with the position of the instrument inside the vertebra. Finally, a report with the metrics is generated as performance feedback. ⋯ Initial testing of the SpineST-01 demonstrated potential for the system to practice image-guided cannulation tasks on lumbar vertebrae. Results showed objective differences between experts, intermediates, and novices in the proposed metrics, making this system a feasible option for developing basic navigation system skills without the risk of radiation exposure and objectively evaluating task performance.

Aimée REDONDO, The First Female Neurosurgeon Professor in France.
It is crucial to promote the role of women in surgery, particularly in the field of neurosurgery, which is still predominantly male-dominated. Without recognition and support, these talented and pioneering women may continue to be overlooked, despite their significant contributions to the field. One such remarkable woman is Professor Aimée Redondo, the first female neurosurgeon professor in France. ⋯ After completing her residency, she worked as a senior neurosurgeon at the Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris and then joined the newly established department of neurosurgery at Beaujon Hospital. For over thirty years, she was a crucial member of this department and served as its head from 2004 until her retirement. Sadly, she passed away in 2022 at the age of 78.

Dural venous sinus thrombosis after vestibular schwannoma surgery: should we anticoagulate?
The incidence of dural venous sinus thrombosis (DVST) following vestibular schwannoma (VS) surgery remains understudied. The diverse clinical presentation complicates forming anticoagulation treatment guidelines. This meta-analysis aimed to investigate the incidence of DVST post-VS surgery and to evaluate the role of anticoagulation. ⋯ DVST after VS surgery is more common than initially perceived, predominantly presenting asymptomatically. Variability in anticoagulation protocols hinders the establishment of definitive therapeutic stances; nevertheless, there is no supporting evidence to promote anticoagulation administration for DVST. This begs the need for further institutional comparative studies with a proper adjustment for confounding and well-defined anticoagulation regimens.

Cross-cultural Adaptation of the Neck Bournemouth Questionnaire: A Methodological Systematic Review.
Neck pain is a common musculoskeletal disorder, and it affects the quality of life of patients. As an effective and reliable multidimensional measurement tool for neck pain, the Neck Bournemouth Questionnaire (NBQ) has been cross-culturally adapted into multiple languages for clinical practice. The aim of this study was to evaluate the translation procedures and measurement properties of cross-cultural adaptations of the NBQ. ⋯ The Dutch, German, and Urdu adaptations demonstrate comparatively higher quality than other adaptations. Further research should comprehensively evaluate the measurement properties of the NBQ in the French, Portuguese-Brazilian, and Turkish adaptations.
