Identifying reliable prognostic factors for pediatric-onset Crohn's disease (CD) is important for guiding early treatment. This study aimed to evaluate the validity of various clinical parameters for predicting long-term intestinal complications in pediatric-onset CD patients with CD in Taiwan. ⋯ ECCO-ESPGHAN risk stratification is an effective early predictor of long-term intestinal complications in the Taiwanese population and may be used in clinical practice to guide early advanced therapy.

Insufficient numbers of peripheral blood stem cells (PBSC) after granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) mobilization occurs in a significant proportion of PBSC collections, often from older age donors. Telomere length (TL) is often used as an indicator of an individual's biological age. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between donors' leukocyte TL and the outcome of G-CSF-induced PBSC mobilization in healthy unrelated donors. ⋯ Our results indicate that shorter donor leukocyte TL is associated with poor G-CSF-induced PBSC mobilization. TL, which represents a donor's biological age, could be a potential predictor for mobilization outcome.

Rituximab (RTX),an anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody can effectively treat minimal change disease (MCD),with low toxicity and a reduced steroid dosage. The optimal dosage of RTX for treating MCD remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate the efficacy of an ultra-low-dose regimen of RTX (100 mg per week for 4 weeks) for treating MCD. ⋯ Ultra-low-dose RTX is effective at inducing remission in patients with MCD at a lower cost.
