Problems related to quality of life and body images of amputee patients are important. ⋯ Quality of life of patients with amputation was below the intermediate level. Deterioration in body image perception was above average. The most common problem after amputation was issues related mobilization. Training related the amputation process and social support might significantly reduce problems with amputation.

Misconceptions are learning deficits that may cause clinical judgments in a dental practice to be made incorrectly. ⋯ To prevent misdiagnosis, it is essential to recognize and overcome misconceptions in Oral Diagnosis/Medicine and Radiology. Therefore this study assists students and lecturers in defining misconceptions and organizing precautions to avoid and fix them.

Optic Nerve Avulsion from Optochiasmal Region Secondary to an Animal Attack: A Case Report.
Optic nerve avulsion without bone fracture was observed in four cases in the literature. This case is unique with its cranial effects and complications. A 50-year-old Caucasian female patient attacked by an animal on her left eye was admitted. ⋯ The patient was followed up by medical treatment with left temporoparietal infarction and had completely recovered. Optic nerve avulsion secondary to trauma is a topic that needs to be carefully investigated due to potentially fatal complications. This article was written to share our experience with this rare condition and its case management.

Cerebellar infarcts are encountered commonly in clinical practice; however, they are likely to be misinterpreted. They cannot be adequately evaluated on scales such as the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), which can have fatal consequences. ⋯ The study found that some baseline clinical, neurovascular imaging findings, and the mRS score on admission are useful predictors of cerebellar stroke prognosis and outcome.

Various healthcare professionals, including dentists, provide botulinum toxin (Botox) for cosmetic and therapeutic treatment. In dentistry, it has multiple uses, such as gummy smile, bruxism, sialorrhea, muscle spasm, and orofacial pain, yet unwanted side effects may arise. ⋯ The usage of Botox therapy in the field of dentistry has increased significantly. Participants had an acceptable level of knowledge regarding the use of Botox in esthetic practices but lacked knowledge of the therapeutic scope of Botox therapy. The majority of participants had no doubt about the medical professionals administering Botox. It is advised to educate the public about the extent of Botox treatment and offer a trustworthy source of information required.
