Randomized Controlled Trial
Short-term outcomes of reduced versus conventional ports in sleeve gastrectomy: A controlled clinical trial.
The study aims to compare the short-term outcomes of reduced ports sleeve gastrectomy versus conventional five ports sleeve gastrectomy in postoperative weight loss, morbidity rate, pain, and resolution of obesity-related diseases. ⋯ Reduced ports laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy is safe and feasible in patients with body mass index (BMI) up to 50 kg/m2. It is cosmetically well appreciated with noticeable patient satisfaction. It should be practiced with regularity. Further trials should be considered in patients with high BMI (>50 kg/m2).

Comprehensive nursing program for children with epilepsy: A randomized controlled trial.
Epilepsy is a relatively common childhood neurological disease. Children with epilepsy need to take precautions to minimize seizure damage in order to adapt to seizures and manage them. ⋯ The intervention has the potential to support children with epilepsy. The program is easily accessible, cost-effective and could be implemented in epilepsy care rehabilitation.

The success of the treatment depends on the well-being of the parents in pediatric cancer patients. In addition, migrants need to deal with the consequences of war. ⋯ Migration is a complex issue. Turkish parents were better in physical functioning, emotional well-being, physical pain, general health, and physical health composite score. Screening for parental burden, assisting them to find appropriate support services is essential in improving the health and QoL of both our patients and their parents.

The assessment of the sleep status of older adults and its relationship to oral health can help determine their well-being and quality of life. In accordance with this purpose, we aimed to evaluate the relationship between oral health and sleep quality in community-dwelling older adults in an urban area. ⋯ This is the first epidemiologic study to examine the relationship between oral health status and sleep quality, in which many oral health indicators are evaluated together in Turkish community-dwelling older adults. OHIP-14-TR may be a useful tool to employ in sleep disorder clinics for older people.

Case Reports
A case report of tracheal tenting to the skin: An option to tracheostomy for post-thyroidectomy tracheomalacia.
Operating on a huge and long-standing goiter is challenging to the surgeon and anesthetist because of the possibility of tracheomalacia and collapse of the tracheal rings after extubation. We report our innovation of tenting the trachea to the skin using sutures (passed through the strap and sternocleidomastoid muscles) to prevent post-thyroidectomy tracheomalacia.
