To explore risk factors of electrical status epilepticus during sleep in children with benign childhood epilepsy with centro-temporal spikes (BECT). ⋯ Clinically, the occurrence of ESES in children with BECT may be related to the younger age of the first seizure, higher frequency of seizures before treatment, and the occurrence of seizures after treatment.

To assess and compare the clinical and functional outcomes of corticosteroid injections in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome, focusing on two different approaches: ultrasound-guided and landmark-guided. ⋯ Findings suggest that ultrasound guided approach may be better than landmark guided approach especially in terms of alleviation of symptoms, reducing the risk of complications and need for surgical intervention. However, larger trials with long term follow up may provide conclusive evidence.

To explore the effect of fascia iliaca compartment block (FICB) in combination with ropivacaine on post-operative outcomes in elderly patients undergoing hip fracture (HF) repair. ⋯ Ropivacaine combined with FICB was associated with improved post-operative outcomes such as lower post-surgery VAS scores, MAP and HR compared to the intravenous injection of parecoxib sodium.

To explore the diagnostic value of video electroencephalography (VEEG) combined with magnetic resonance imaging diffusion tensor imaging (MRI-DTI) in epilepsy. ⋯ The application of MRI-DTI combined with VEEG to diagnose patients with epilepsy allows for the identification of abnormal structural changes in brain and the location of lesions. Combining both approaches can improve the diagnostic accuracy of each technique alone and provide a reference for the formulation and adjustment of disease management plans.

To evaluate the clinical efficacy of recombinant human basic fibroblast growth factor (rh-bFGF) combined with ranitidine in the treatment of recurrent oral ulcer and its effects on serum TNF, IL-2 and T-lymphocyte subsets. ⋯ Recombinant human basic fibroblast growth factor combined with ranitidine is effective in the treatment of recurrent oral ulcers, boasting various benefits such as effectively promoting ulcer healing, reducing pain and inflammatory response, and enhancing immune function.
