To evaluate the diagnostic value of the rtRT-PCR test and CT in patients presenting with typical clinical symptoms of COVID-19. ⋯ It should be noted that a negative result in the rtRT-PCR test does not rule out the possibility of COVID-19 diagnosis in patients whose symptom duration is longer than five days, who are elderly with comorbidities and in particular who present with fever and shortness of breath. In these patients, typical CT findings are diagnostic for COVID-19. A normal chest CT is no reason to loosen up measures of isolation in patients with newly beginning symptoms until the results are obtained from the PCR test.

To determine the association between ABO/Rh-D blood types and susceptibility to SARS-CoV-2 infection in Pakistan. ⋯ There is significant association between blood types B & AB and susceptibility to COVID-19. There is no association between blood types A and O with COVID-19. Rh- D positive blood types are less susceptible to COVID-19.

To explore the clinical effect and safety of laparoscopic radical cystectomy + orthotopic ileal neobladder and open surgery. ⋯ Laparoscopic radical cystectomy + orthotopic ileal neobladder has the characteristics of limited trauma, a minimal amount of bleeding and a fast recovery. The functions of orthotopic neobladders are good, and the occurrence rate of postoperative complications is low. In addition, body immunity is protected. Hence, this procedure deserves to be promoted clinically.

COVID-19 is a menace for Pakistan's fragile and overburdened health care system and infrastructure, insidiously permeating the socio-economic fabric. Globally complete to partial shutdown of educational institutions has been enforced, transitioning from face to face to online academics. Academic institutes are floundering to withstand the brunt. ⋯ Thirty two English language, full text articles published in the last ten years from 2010 to 2020 were selected for the literature review. With this literature review, we conclude that this lockdown has caused significant distortion in the academic world yet unequal interruption in learning with significant disruptions in internal assessments and qualification examinations with developing countries like Pakistan, compounded by a compromised educational system. However, COVID-19 is spurring the case for conversion to online academics and developing countries like Pakistan are poised to develop reliable, cost effective and secure online academic system whether it is bane or boon.
