Factors Affecting Patient Adherence to Inhalation Therapy: An Application of SEIPS Model 2.0.
This study aims to explore factors that affect patient adherence to inhalation therapy by applying a patient-centered approach. ⋯ The findings of the study identified 10 influential factors that impact on patient adherence to inhalation therapy. A SEIPS-based conceptual model was constructed based on the responses of patients and HCPs to explore the experiences of patients engaging in inhalation therapy and interacting with inhalation devices. In particular, new insight about factors of emotional experience, physical environment and traditional cultural beliefs were found crucial for patients with Asthma/COPD to conduct patients' adherent behaviors.

Factors Associated with Anxiety During COVID-19 Pandemic and Its Association with Hypertension in Saudi Arabia.
Patients with chronic diseases such as hypertension (HTN) are considered a vulnerable group, and they are prone to anxiety and other psychological conditions during pandemics. Very few reports discussed factors related to anxiety and how it is associated with HTN during COVID-19 pandemic. In this project, we aimed to identify the prevalence of anxiety among hypertensive patients in Saudi Arabia during the COVID-19 pandemic. ⋯ The prevalence of anxiety among hypertensive individuals is higher compared to the general population. Moreover, anxiety is significantly associated with some sociodemographic in the general population, and with less adherence to medications in hypertensive patients. Further studies with data from medical record including more variables are needed to highlight this association.

Young XLH Patients-Reported Experience with a Supportive Care Program.
X-linked hypophosphatemia (XLH) is a rare, chronic, genetic condition characterized by renal phosphate wasting and abnormal bone and teeth mineralization. It represents a challenging and multifaceted disease that causes wide-ranging impacts on patients' lives. In this context, a scientific committee has designed a support initiative for patients treated for XLH: the aXess program. We sought to determine if a patient support program (PSP) could help XLH patients cope with their condition. ⋯ Our findings indicate that this program might improve the QOL for patients with chronic conditions such as XLH through patient education, therapy adherence, motivational interviews, and frequent follow-up. It links the home environment and overall illness management, bringing patients, families, and caregivers together.

Non‑persistence to Oral Anticoagulation Therapy in Elderly Patients with Non‑valvular Atrial Fibrillation.
To investigate the reasons for elderly atrial fibrillation (AF) patients not continuing their oral anticoagulation (OAC) treatment and the factors that influence this behavior. ⋯ OAC non-persistence remains high among elderly AF patients during long-term follow-up, with a significant proportion discontinuing shortly after discharge. This pattern of non-persistence is heavily influenced by demographic factors and patient preference. Further interventions should be developed based on the reasons and risk factors to improve persistence and initiated early in the treatment process.
