Since the police-involved deaths of Michael Brown and Freddie Gray, activists have argued for connecting police violence with reproductive justice. We argue that systematic violence, including police violence, should be evaluated in relation to reproductive health outcomes of individual patients and communities. Beyond emphasizing the relationship between violence and health outcomes, both qualitative and epidemiologic data can be used by activists and caregivers to effectively care for individuals from socially marginalized communities.

Ovarian Conservation and Overall Survival in Young Women With Early-Stage Cervical Cancer.
To identify predictors of ovarian conservation at hysterectomy and to examine the association of ovarian conservation and survival of young women with early-stage cervical cancer. ⋯ Among young women with stage IA cervical cancer, ovarian conservation at hysterectomy is associated with decreased all-cause mortality including death resulting from cardiovascular disease and other chronic diseases.

To estimate whether sleep-disordered breathing during pregnancy is a risk factor for the development of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). ⋯ There is an independent association between sleep-disordered breathing and preeclampsia, hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, and GDM.

Maternal Morbidity After Previable Prelabor Rupture of Membranes.
To identify risk factors for maternal morbidity after previable prelabor rupture of membranes (PROM). ⋯ Antenatal counseling of women with previable PROM should include that one in seven women experience significant morbidity. Although expectant management was not associated with increased risk in this cohort, women with twins or those aged 35 years or older were at substantially increased risk.
