Current trend in transfusion is a decreasing of the donor's blood use due to possible complications. The article deals with analysis of intraoperative blood loss in different surgeries on the heart and aorta and of a role of blood-saving factors in decreasing of the donor's blood transfusion. We found a correlation between the blood components need and type of surgery and assessed a preoperative provision of autoplasma and intraoperative autohemotransfusion with a blood sampling from the right atrium before the beginning of artificial circulation (Complex use of the blood-saving methods with a prophylactics and treatment of hemostasis disturbances allowed the significantly decreasing of the donor's blood use. 50-70% of patients did not receive components of the donor's blood during cardiac surgery.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study[Comparison of dexmedetomidine and propofol for short-term sedation in early postoperative period after cardiac surgery].
To compare the efficacy of Dexmedetomidine and Propofol for short-term controlled sedation and analgesia in the early postoperative period after cardiac surgery. ⋯ To compare with Propofol Dexmetomedine induces less sedation level and more often provides retrograde amnesia with the same duration of mechanical ventilation and awakening rate. Dexmetomedine provides its own analgesic effect and shortens the length of patient's stay in ICU. Bradycardia was noted more frequently in Dexmedetomidine while arterial hypotension, general malaise and delirium--in Propofol group.

Comparative Study Controlled Clinical Trial[Prophylaxis of blood loss and allogenic blood transfusion with fibrinolysis inhibitors produced in Russian Federation in patients undergoing cardiac surgery].
Significant bleeding during cardiac surgery, enough to cause re-exploration and/or blood transfusion, increases morbidity and mortality. Bleeding after cardiopulmonary bypass is related to multiple factors: endothelial dysfunction, thrombocytopenia, dilution coagulopathy. ⋯ Data from rotational thromboelastometry measurements (Rotem Gamma Pentapharm, Germany), blood loss and transfusion were collected. The results confirm that used in the study antifibrinolytics: the lysine analogues aminomethylbenzoic acid and epsilon aminocaproic acid prevent hyperfibrinolysis after cardiopulmonary bypass as well as aprotinin.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study[Role of migraine history in the development of postoperative nausea and vomiting in patients undergoing general and combined general-epidural anesthesia].
To assess the role of migraine history in the development of postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) in patients undergoing general and combined general-epidural anaesthesia. ⋯ Migraine history is a significant risk factor of PONV. Epidural component of anaesthesia does not effect on frequency of PONV in women with migraine, but Droperidolum use allows increasing the frequency of PONV.
