[Hemostatic indices in combined injuries of the head and thorax].
Experimental (15 experiments in dogs) and clinical (56 patients) investigations have established two-phase changes in the system of hemostasis: hypocoagulation (first 2-3 days after trauma) changed by hypercoagulation (within 2-3 weeks after trauma). Antifibrinolytic and anticoagulative drugs are recommended for the prevention of hemorrhages and thromboses introduced under the control of hemostasis indices.

Comparative Study[Analgesia by electric current in the early postoperative period].
In 295 patients in the early postoperative period anesthesia was performed by means of percutaneous electrostimulation with a new national apparatus Eliman-101. The authors note high efficiency of such analgesia in 63,4% of the patients, satisfactory results were obtained in 32,3%. No sufficient anesthesia was achieved in 13 patients (4,3%). There were no side effects and complications.

Results of peridural morphine analgesia in 122 patients after operation were analysed. The duration of analgesia was established to be longer in this case and to improve the course of the postoperative period. Side effects of morphine (nausea, vomiting, skin itch) were noted in 6% of the cases.

[Late results and economic aspects of the treatment of skin cancer with impulse laser irradiation].
The authors analyze results of the treatment of 1261 patients with carcinoma of the skin and recurrent basiliomas arising after other methods of treatment. The patients were observed within the period of from 1 to 11 years. Recurrences were detected in 1.9% of the patients subjected to laser therapy. Great curative and economic efficiency of laser therapy is shown as compared with X-ray therapy and surgical treatment.
