[Protection of heat shock preconditioning on acute gastric mucosal lesion in scalded rats and its mechanism].
To observe the influence of heat shock preconditioning on the expressions of heat shock protein (HSP) 60 and HSP 70 and on the activities of cytochrome oxidase (CCO) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) in mitochondria in gastric mucosa of severely scalded rats, and to investigate its protective mechanism on acute gastric mucosal lesion in rats with severe scald. ⋯ Heat shock preconditioning is beneficial for the protection of acute gastric mucosal lesion of rats after severe scald, due to increase of HPS60 and HSP70 expression, and increase of CCO and SOD activities in mitochondria.

Review[Strengthening the study of some key points in the management of local wounds after burns and trauma].
The management of local wounds is one of the key steps in the treatment of trauma and burns. Based on the advance in wound management in recent years, we emphasize the importance of paying much attention to study on mechanisms, prevention and treatment in local chronic wounds and hypertrophic scar. Also, the application of some high-technique methods may help enhancing the wound healing velocity and quality after injury.

[Clinical observation of xenoskin to cover microskin graft in the treatment of patients with deep burns].
To explore the feasibility of application of xenoskin as microskin graft covering. ⋯ It is feasible to use porcine skin as a substitute of alloskin to cover autogenous microskin.

[The pattern of nuclear factor-kappaB activation in rats with endotoxin shock and its role in biopterin-mediated nitric oxide induction].
To investigate the pattern of nuclear factor-kappaB (NF-kappaB) activation in rats with lipopolysaccharide( LPS) shock, and to explore the mechanism of NF-kappaB signal pathway in the biopterin-mediated nitric oxide(NO) induction, as well as its role in the development of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome ( MODS) secondary to endotoxin challenge. ⋯ Endotoxin challenge can rapidly lead to activation of NF-kappaB in various tissues, and NF-KB pathway might markedly up-regulate the production of biopterin/NO following endotoxic shock. Inhibition of NF-kappaB pathway attenuates inflammatory response and ameliorates multiple organ dysfunction, which might be associated with its down-regulation of the excessive activation of iNOS mediated by biopterin.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Evaluation of effectiveness and safety of a new hydroxyethyl starch used in resuscitation of burn shock].
To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of hydroxyethyl starch (HES 130/ 0.4, 60 g/L) in resuscitation during shock stage of burns. ⋯ New type of HES can partially substitute plasma and be used in fluid resuscitation for burn patients. However, plasma protein replenishment should still be emphasized.
