    AbstractAs the number of reports of abuse of vulnerable adults increases, healthcare trusts must ensure that strategies are in place to protect this patient population, as well as the staff who care for them. This article describes how a well-designed business case led to the creation of a clinical lead for vulnerable adults post at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, Somerset, and explains how a new policy for safeguarding adults has been implemented throughout the hospital.
