Comparison of surgical outcomes after cervical laminoplasty: open-door technique versus French-door technique.
A retrospective case series. ⋯ Although open-door and French-door laminoplasty techniques were found to be effective for treating cervical compressive myelopathy, the open-door technique seems to be superior with respect to clinical and radiologic outcomes.

Compressive loading of the spine may affect the spinal canal encroachment of burst fractures.
Spinal canal encroachment of burst fractures under different compressive loading. ⋯ An increase in spinal internal loads resulting from a change in the patient posture may increase the SCE of burst fracture. Measurement of the SCE should take into account the bony fragment distribution of burst fracture.

Morphometric measurement of cortical bone trajectory for lumbar pedicle screw insertion using computed tomography.
A morphometric measurement of cortical bone trajectory (CBT) for the lumbar pedicle screw insertion using computed tomography (CT). ⋯ The morphology of the pedicle, such as shape and pedicle axis angle, differed over the lumbar levels, our measurements demonstrated similar data excluding the diameter of the trajectory. There were no significant differences between each level of the lateral and cephalad angles.
