Posterior-only approach surgery for fixation and decompression of thoracolumbar spinal tuberculosis: a retrospective study.
A retrospective case study series. ⋯ The procedure in safe and has satisfactory results in early active cases of Pott paraplegia with less destruction of vertebral bodies.

Original article ⋯ The effect of TDR on sagittal balance appears favorable with an increase in global and segmental lumbar lordosis after single level TDR for degenerative disc disease. The degree of postoperative angle of lordosis was not affected by the angle of implant chosen at the operated level and varied independently of the implant angle.

Prospective. ⋯ Use of the Spine Bull's-Eye Robot with PSAV seems be an accurate and feasible approach for guidewire (and thus pedicle screw) placement in the thoracic and lumbar spine.

Comparative StudyLoss of correction in the treatment of thoracolumbar kyphosis secondary to ankylosing spondylitis: a comparison between Smith-Petersen osteotomies and pedicle subtraction osteotomy.
Retrospective comparison of database patients. ⋯ Both SPOs and PSO showed similar effect in correcting the thoracolumbar kyphosis secondary to AS. However, patients treated with the SPOs technique showed higher risk in loss of correction in the instrumented region.

Surgical correction of spinal deformity in patients with cerebral palsy using pedicle screw instrumentation.
Retrospective review of a prospectively collected single surgeon's series. ⋯ Pedicle screw instrumentation can achieve excellent correction of spinal deformity in quadriplegic cerebral palsy with low complication and re-operation rates and high parent satisfaction.
