68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT in prostate cancer patients with biochemical recurrence after radical prostatectomy and PSA <0.5 ng/ml. Efficacy and impact on treatment strategy.
The primary aim of this retrospective, single-centre analysis was to assess the performance of 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT in prostate cancer (PCa) patients in early PSA failure after radical prostatectomy (RP). The secondary aim was to assess the potential impact of 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT on treatment strategy. ⋯ In our patient series with PSA levels <0.5 ng/ml, 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT had a detection rate of 34.4%. In the ITT analysis, 30.2% of patients had a change in the intended treatment. These data support the hypothesis that 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT is a useful procedure in the management of PCa patients showing early recurrence after RP, and should be implemented in routine clinical practice.

PISCOM: a new procedure for epilepsy combining ictal SPECT and interictal PET.
We present a modified version of the SISCOM procedure that uses interictal PET instead of interictal SPECT for seizure onset zone localization. We called this new nuclear imaging processing technique PISCOM (PET interictal subtracted ictal SPECT coregistered with MRI). ⋯ Preliminary findings of this initial proof-of-concept study suggest that perfusion and glucose metabolism in the cerebral cortex can be correlated and that PISCOM may be a valid technique for identification of the seizure onset zone. However, further studies are needed to validate these results.

The SNMMI and EANM practice guideline for renal scintigraphy in adults.
The Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) is an international scientific and professional organization founded in 1954 to promote the science, technology, and practical application of nuclear medicine. The European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) is a professional nonprofit medical association that facilitates communication worldwide between individuals pursuing clinical and research excellence in nuclear medicine. The EANM was founded in 1985. SNMMI and EANM members are physicians, technologists, and scientists specializing in the research and practice of nuclear medicine. ⋯ Each practice guideline, representing a policy statement by the SNMMI/EANM, has undergone a thorough consensus process in which it has been subjected to extensive review. The SNMMI and EANM recognize that the safe and effective use of diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging requires specific training, skills, and techniques, as described in each document. Reproduction or modification of the published practice guideline by entities not providing these services is not authorized.

Diagnostic performance of 18F-PSMA-1007 PET/CT in patients with biochemical recurrent prostate cancer.
The introduction of ligands targeting prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), especially 68Ga-PSMA-11, has changed the management of patients with prostate cancer (PCa). 18F-Labelled ligands can be produced in larger amounts and therefore can improve availability for a larger group of patients. The aim of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic performance of the recently introduced 18F-PSMA-1007 in patients with recurrent PCa. ⋯ 18F-PSMA-1007 PET/CT can detect recurrent PCa in a high percentage of patients with biochemical relapse. The probability of a pathological 18F-PSMA-1007 PET/CT scan seems to be high even in patients with a low PSA level ≤0.5 ng/ml, and this may have a significant impact on the management of this relevant group of patients.

68Ga-PSMA PET/CT in patients with recurrent prostate cancer after radical treatment: prospective results in 314 patients.
We studied the usefulness of 68Ga-prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) PET/CT for detecting relapse in a prospective series of patients with biochemical recurrence (BCR) of prostate cancer (PCa) after radical treatment. ⋯ We confirmed the value of 68Ga-PSMA PET/CT in restaging PCa patients with BCR, highlighting its superior performance and safety compared with choline PET/CT. Higher PSApet was associated with a higher relapse detection rate.
