Improving Knowledge and Awareness of Human Papillomavirus-Associated Gynecologic Cancers: Results from the National Comprehensive Cancer Control Program/Inside Knowledge Collaboration.
Over 16,000 women are diagnosed with a human papillomavirus (HPV)-associated gynecologic cancer every year. Because most of these cancers are preventable, correct and appropriate information about the HPV vaccine and cervical cancer screening can help reduce incidence. ⋯ Women and healthcare providers who attended the Inside Knowledge sessions significantly improved their knowledge of HPV-associated gynecologic cancers. Additional educational activities during the sessions that support distinguishing between HPV-associated versus other gynecologic cancers and clarify HPV vaccine recommendations may help with further increases in knowledge.

The Impact of Women's Health Residency Tracks on Career Outcomes.

The objective of this study was to determine the impact that women's health residency tracks have on career outcomes. ⋯ Graduates of women's health residency tracks remain involved in women's health in clinical practice, scholarship, teaching, and leadership. While all internal medicine residents should receive comprehensive women's health education, WHTs are an effective way of promoting women's healthcare and scholarship.

Feasibility and Acceptability of Screening for Adverse Childhood Experiences in Prenatal Care.
Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are common among pregnant women and contribute to increased risk for negative perinatal outcomes, yet few clinicians screen prenatal patients for ACEs. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of screening for ACEs in standard prenatal care. ⋯ ACEs screening as part of standard prenatal care is feasible and generally acceptable to patients. Women's health clinicians are willing to screen patients for ACEs when appropriately trained and adequate behavioral health referral resources are available.
