The aim of this study was to assess the psychological impact among healthcare workers who stand in the frontline of the SARS-CoV-2 crisis and to compare it with the rest of healthcare professionals, by means of a systematic review of Western publications. The systematic review was carried out in PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science databases and 12 descriptive studies were reviewed. ⋯ In the first line of assistance the psychological impact was greater than in the rest of the health professionals and in the Asian area. It is necessary to go deeper into the emotional experiences and professional needs for emotional support in order to design effective interventions for protection and help.

Atrial fibrillation (AF) has the close relation to thyroid dysfunction and these two diseases lead to poor cardiovascular outcomes. But the prognostic value of thyroid diseases in AF remains unclear. We aimed to determine whether history of thyroid diseases is associated with risk of in-hospital cardiovascular outcomes in AF. ⋯ History of hypothyroidism was an independent protective factor, whereas history of hyperthyroidism was an independent risk factor for in-hospital cardiovascular outcomes in AF. Our study indicated that hyperthyroidism should be treated aggressively in order to improve the prognosis of AF.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common primary liver neoplasm and one of the most common causes of death in patients with cirrhosis of the liver. In parallel, with recognition of the clinical relevance of this cancer, major new developments have recently appeared in its diagnosis, prognostic assessment and in particular, in its treatment. ⋯ The clinical practice guidelines published in 2016 and accepted as National Health System Clinical Practice Guidelines were taken as the reference documents, incorporating the most important recent advances. The scientific evidence and the strength of the recommendation is based on the GRADE system.
