In the pharmacotherapeutic process, from prescription to administration of drugs, failures that cause unwanted effects in patients may occur. ⋯ To analyze and identify the causes that trigger medical errors is essential to prevent their occurrence. In this context, computerized physician order entry appear as an attractive tool for ensuring patients safety.

[Application of guidelines for secondary prevention of fracture and the FRAX index in patients with fragility fracture].
There are different guidelines for secondary prevention of fractures related with osteoporosis. Our aim is to analyse the appliance of such guidelines in a sample of patients with fragility fracture ⋯ There are high differences in the percentage of patients who need treatment to prevent new fractures according to the guidelines. Fewer patients require treatment when the FRAX index is included in a guideline.

[Multiple chemical sensitivity: epidemiological, clinical and prognostic differences between occupational and non-occupational cases].
The progressive increase in cases of multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) syndrome and the lack of studies which associate the syndrome with possible occupational origins means that further research in this field is required. The objective of this study was to compare the epidemiological, clinical and prognostic aspects of cases of MCS of occupational and non-occupational origin. ⋯ Cases of MCS attributed to an occupational origin had fewer comorbidities and less permanent disability than those of non-occupational origin.
