Role of apparent diffusion coefficient measurement in differentiating histological subtypes of brain metastasis of lung cancer.
The aim of this study was to investigate the role of apparent diffusion coefficient of diffusion-weighted imaging in differentiating histological subtypes of brain metastasis of lung cancer. ⋯ Minimum apparent diffusion coefficient, mean apparent diffusion coefficient, normalized apparent diffusion coefficient, and apparent diffusion coefficient of edema around metastasis can differentiate histological subtypes of brain metastasis of lung cancer.

Braden scale has low reliability in different patients under care in intensive care unit.
The aim of this study was to assess the inter-reliability of the Braden scale and its subscales for different patients assisted in the intensive care unit. We hypothesized that the Braden scale has low reliability in different populations. ⋯ Braden scale is not a reliable tool to be used in the intensive care unit, and we do not recommend the use of this scale to assess the risk of developing pressure injury.

The ımportance of ınflammatory parameters ın predıctıng deep sternal wound ınfectıons after open heart surgery.
The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the development of deep sternal wound infection after open heart surgery and inflammatory parameters obtained from routine biochemical tests. ⋯ Deep sternal wound infection development can be predicted with inflammatory parameters such as neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio and C-reactive protein that are obtained from cheap and easily available routine biochemical tests.

What is the effect of tumor diameter, lymph node metastases, and SUVmax value on prognosis in limited-stage small cell lung cancer?
This study was designed to investigate the link between survival and prognostic factors such as tumor size, lymph node metastasis, and metabolic activity detected on positron emission tomography/computed tomography in patients with limited-stage small cell lung carcinoma. ⋯ Our findings provide useful information for better patient management, especially in terms of negative factors on the continuation of survival during and after the treatment of limited-stage small cell lung carcinoma patients.
