Temporomandibular joint involvement in elderly onset and young onset rheumatoid arthritis patients.
There are studies showing clinical and laboratory differences between elderly-onset rheumatoid arthritis and young-onset rheumatoid arthritis. Temporomandibular joint involvement in rheumatoid arthritis is not rare. In this study, we aimed to examine the temporomandibular joint involvement and magnetic resonance imaging findings in elderly-onset rheumatoid arthritis and young-onset rheumatoid arthritis patients. ⋯ According to our findings, elderly-onset rheumatoid arthritis is not much different from young-onset rheumatoid arthritis in terms of temporomandibular joint involvement, magnetic resonance imaging findings, and clinical and laboratory features.

Investigation of associations between apolipoprotein A5 and C3 gene polymorphisms with plasma triglyceride and lipid levels.
The aim of this study was to determine frequency and associations between APOA5 c.56C>G, -1131T>C, c.553G>T, and APOC3 -482C>T and SstI gene polymorphisms with hypertriglyceridemia. ⋯ For the first time in a population sample from Turkey, among the five polymorphisms of APOA5 and APOC3 genes investigated, APOC3 -482C>T and SstI polymorphisms were associated with elevated serum TG levels, while APOA5 c.56C>G, -1131T>C, and c.553G>T polymorphisms were not.

Evaluation of respiratory bronchiolitis nodules with maximum intensity projection images.
Respiratory bronchiolitis is a disease associated with heavy smoking. Computed tomography in this disease often shows symmetrical and bilaterally ill-defined circumscribed centriacinar micronodular involvement in the upper-middle lobes. The maximum intensity projection method is a kind of image processing method and provides a better evaluation of nodules and vascular structures. Our study aimed to show whether maximum intensity projection images increase the diagnostic accuracy in the detection of micronodules in respiratory bronchiolitis. ⋯ Maximum intensity projection images in respiratory bronchiolitis increase the detectability of micronodules independently of the experience of the radiologist.

The impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 outbreak on decision-making styles and breastfeeding of pregnant women: a cross-sectional study.
This study was planned to examine the factors affecting the decision-making styles of pregnant women in the coronavirus disease 2019 epidemic, their choice of birth environment, and their decision to start breastfeeding. ⋯ The research findings show that situations such as epidemics affect the decisions of pregnant women, and breastfeeding situations and decision-making styles affect each other. For this reason, education programs and guides including guidance services and support systems should be published and pregnant women should be guided correctly.

Is the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio a marker for differentiating between benign and malignant submandibular gland masses?
This study aimed to evaluate the effect of the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio on the differentiation of benign and malignant masses in the submandibular triangle. ⋯ This is the first study to demonstrate that the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio can be used as a biomarker in submandibular gland masses and has prognostic significance in malignant masses. In addition to fine needle aspiration biopsy results, neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio can be used as a biomarker.
