This study aimed to investigate the effects of upper extremity home exercises on grip strength, range of motion, activity performance, and functionality in individuals with systemic sclerosis and to compare with patient education. ⋯ Upper extremity home exercises increase grip strength, range of motion, activity performance, and functionality in patients with systemic sclerosis. We recommend that rehabilitation programs include not only hand exercises but also upper extremity exercises.

This study aims to examine the effect of telecounseling in reducing the anxiety and depression experienced by pregnant women. ⋯ This study shows that telecounseling may have an effect on reducing the level of anxiety and depression of pregnant women.

Eating habits, anthropometry, lifestyle, and hypertension of a group of non-village indigenous women in Amazon, Brazil.
The aim of this study was to describe the anthropometric characteristics, eating habits, and lifestyle of non-village indigenous women living in Manaus, AM, and their association with hypertension. ⋯ Much of the sample presented excess weight, and almost all were sedentary. More than one-third had unappropriated eating habits. Hypertension was present in more than one-third of these indigenous women. There was an association between higher body mass index and hypertension. Knowing the characteristics of this group of non-village indigenous women may help determine the best health approach. The data demonstrate the necessity of preventive measures.

Randomized Controlled TrialComparison of pain levels developed during intramuscular injections to laterofemoral and ventrogluteal regions in children: a randomized controlled study.
The aim of this study was to compare the levels of pain developed during intramuscular injections to the laterofemoral and ventrogluteal regions in children. ⋯ In children, it is recommended to choose the less painful ventrogluteal region for intramuscular injection and to inform health professionals about it.

Randomized Controlled TrialThe effect of postnatal breastfeeding education given to women on breastfeeding self-efficacy and breastfeeding success.
This study was conducted to determine the effect of postnatal breastfeeding education given to women who had normal vaginal and cesarean delivery on breastfeeding self-efficacy and breastfeeding success. ⋯ It was found by the researchers that postnatal breastfeeding education is effective in increasing the level of breastfeeding knowledge, breastfeeding success, and breastfeeding self-efficacy.
