Multicenter Study Comparative StudyPatient self-management program for diabetes: first-year clinical, humanistic, and economic outcomes.
To assess the outcomes for the first year following the initiation of a multisite community pharmacy care services (PCS) program for patients with diabetes. ⋯ Patients who participated in the program had significant improvement in clinical indicators of diabetes management, higher rates of self-management goal setting and achievement, and increased satisfaction with diabetes care, and employers experienced a decline in mean projected total direct medical costs.

Multicenter Study Comparative Study Clinical TrialPharmacists' and technicians' perceptions and attitudes toward dispensing buprenorphine/ naloxone to patients with opioid dependence.
To assess the perceptions and attitudes of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians involved in an office-based opioid dependence treatment program using buprenorphine/naloxone. ⋯ The majority of respondents expressed positive attitudes and perceptions regarding patients treated for opioid dependence with buprenorphine/naloxone.

Comparative StudyPharmacy-related health disparities experienced by non-english-speaking patients: impact of pharmaceutical care.
To identify the availability of foreign language services in pharmacies near a medical clinic serving a large immigrant population and determine whether the type of observed drug therapy problems differed between English- and non-English-speaking patients at this clinic. ⋯ Despite the availability of clinic-based interpreters and foreign language services in pharmacies, adherence-related problems are significantly more common in non-English-speaking patients. Pharmacists committed to providing pharmaceutical care must consider the impact of language barriers when working to optimize drug therapy outcomes.
