To assess the results of the implementation of a protocol for the outpatient management of paediatric patients with tuberculosis, and to compare it with the previous approach. ⋯ Although guidelines recommend three microbiological samples for culture, no superior microbiological isolation was detected despite the increased number of samples collected. The management in hospital clinics of patients with suspected tuberculosis with stable clinical situation show similar or better clinical and microbiological results to the previous management, with lower hospital admission rate and with the subsequent cost savings.

[Use of complementary tests in emergencies and their relation with patient safety incidents].
To analyse the use of complementary tests and their relationship with safety incidents in hospital emergency departments. ⋯ A relationship was observed between the use of a peripheral venous catheter (many of them without use) and radiological tests and the occurrence of safety incidents in the Emergency Departments.

Comparative Study
Spanish and Catalan translation, cultural adaptation and validation of the Picker Patient Experience Questionnaire-15.
To develop and test a culturally adapted core set of questions to measure patients' experience after in-patient care. ⋯ The obtained experience patient questionnaire, in Spanish and Catalan, shows good results in the psychometric properties evaluated and could be a useful tool to identify opportunities for health care improvement in our context. Email could become a feasible tool for greater patient participation in everything that concerns his health.

[Asymmetries in the hospital treatment of acute ischemic stroke].
To analyze the degree of implementation of the protocolized care for acute stroke in the Spanish emergency departments and to discuss the territorial differences in the treatment of stroke. ⋯ Urgencies plays a fundamental role in the chain of care of stroke treatment. There is a worrying variability between centers in the management of the stroke.
