Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study
[Evaluation of an educational group intervention in the control of patients with cardiovascular risk].
To compare an educational group intervention with individual care to improve clinical and management variables among patients with cardiovascular risk (CVR) in community health care (PC). ⋯ Nurse group control of patients with CVR in PC saves nurse-time compared with the usual individual visits. However, further studies are needed to better define what type of patient that is more susceptible to follow cardiovascular control through group workshops and whether this time-saving is related to the use of other health resources.

Controlled Clinical Trial
[Nursing educational intervention for the management of postoperative pain in ambulatory surgery].
Evaluate the effectiveness of educational intervention of perioperative nursing by providing graphic material for the management of postoperative pain in patients operated on for hernia in an Ambulatory Surgery Unit (ASU). ⋯ Nursing educational intervention with the provision of graphic material, suggests that it may reduce the individual's perception of postoperative pain, decrease the percentage of patients with mobility and walking problems, and improve compliance and adherence to treatment.

To determine patient satisfaction with the pre-surgical visit, explore the specific contents of interventions performed, and analyse their effectiveness in post-surgical outcomes. ⋯ This nursing intervention not only allows us to give personalised and appropriate information to the surgical patient but also improves the satisfaction of these patients, having positive post-surgical effects.

To observe the prevalence of the burnout syndrome and the relationship with suicide risk, self-esteem, anxiety and depression, in a sample of primary care nurses. ⋯ The scores obtained in burnout and suicidal risk were, in general, lower than those observed in other studies, emphasising the high level observed in personal performance, which reflects reasonable professional satisfaction. The results show the important role of working atmosphere and early recognition of mental disorders in burnout and suicidal risk prevention.
