Case ReportsThe use of convalescent plasma therapy and remdesivir in the successful management of a critically ill obstetric patient with novel coronavirus 2019 infection: A case report.
Remdesivir is a novel therapeutic with known activity against SARS CoV-2 and related coronaviruses. Remdesivir, as well as convalescent plasma therapy, are currently under investigation as potential therapies for patients with Coronavirus Disease 19 (COVID-19). In this case report we summarize the use of convalescent plasma therapy and then remdesivir as a late addition in the treatment of a critically ill obstetric patient with COVID-19. The patient subsequently improved, was extubated 5 days after initiation of remdesivir, was transitioned to room air 24 h later, and discharged at the completion of remdesivir therapy.

Case ReportsCOVID-19 infection presenting as pancreatitis in a pregnant woman: A case report.
The coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has posed unique challenges in healthcare. In obstetrics, there is little information available to guide practice. As new data emerge, the spectrum of initial presenting symptoms has expanded from fever, cough, and dyspnea to gastrointestinal and other symptoms in both pregnant and non-pregnant patients. ⋯ To date, no cases of human pancreatitis have been identified as related to a COVID-19 infection, although multiple other gastrointestinal symptoms have been described. Given the lack of other etiology, we consider the possibility that patient's acute pancreatitis could be secondary to COVID-19 infection.

Case ReportsGiant paratubal cyst presenting as adnexal torsion: A case report.
Paraovarian/paratubal cysts constitute about 10% of adnexal masses and are usually small and asymptomatic. A huge paratubal cyst complicated by adnexal torsion is a rare cause of acute low abdominal pain. ⋯ A giant paratubal cystadenoma is a rare condition and management is challenging. If there are clinical and imaging signs of torsion, it should be approached like any other adnexal mass and surgery should be urgent in order to avoid irremediable compromise of ovarian function.

Caesarean scar pregnancy is an uncommon form of ectopic pregnancy characterized by implantation into the site of a caesarean scar. Common clinical features include vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain; however, a significant proportion of cases are asymptomatic. The primary diagnostic modality is transvaginal ultrasound. There is no current consensus on best-practice management. ⋯ Caesarean scar pregnancies are uncommon. Multiple treatment strategies have been employed, with variable degrees of success. Further research into risk stratification and management are needed to guide clinician and patient decision making.
