Randomized Controlled TrialEffect of eryngo (Eryngium caucasicum Trautv) on primary dysmenorrhea: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study.
This study strove to investigate the safety and effectiveness of Eryngo in the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea. ⋯ Eryngo relieved dysmenorrhea as effectively as Ibuprofen did. Thus, Eryngo could be regarded as a new herbal remedy for the treatment of dysmenorrhea. However, in order to prescribe Eryngo as herbal remedy, rigorous research studies are required to establish its efficacy by investigating its chemical, pharmacologic, and therapeutic properties.

Case ReportsLive birth after perimortem cesarean delivery in a 36-year-old out-of-hospital cardiac arrest nulliparous woman.
The aim of this study is to share a valuable experience of perimortem Cesarean delivery (PMCD) when no signs of spontaneous circulation were detected after 4 min of resuscitation. The time interval between maternal cardiac arrest and neonatal delivery was evaluated and reviewed. ⋯ Contrary to previous studies and case reports, maternal and neonatal outcomes seem to be better when performing PMCD within 10 min. Multidisciplinary teamwork is the key for optimal outcomes in such situations.

Analysis of prophylactic Bakri balloon tamponade failure in patients with placenta previa.
Recently, Bakri balloon (BBT) was effective for women with placenta previa to reduce hemorrhage. However, about 10% of women needed to receive an invasive strategy. Thus, the identification of risk factors and the development of additional measurements for BBT failure was needed. The aim of our study is to investigate the cause and measurements of failing prophylactic BBT in women with placenta previa. ⋯ The major cause of BBT failure was balloon prolapse. It could be treated with non-invasive methods; however, patients with placental retention could not avoid invasive treatment to stop the hemorrhage.

A case control study of risk factors and neonatal outcomes of preterm birth.
The aim is to examine risk factors and neonatal outcomes of preterm birth and to provide basis in preventing preterm birth. ⋯ Prior history of pregnancy, hypertension, ICP, FGR, PROM, placenta previa and abnormal presentation were covariates identified in this study as risk factors for preterm birth. Preterm birth is an important reason of neonatal poor prognosis and death.
