Predictive factors for pregnancy after controlled ovarian stimulation and intrauterine insemination: A retrospective analysis of 4146 cycles.
The variability in indications and low rate of pregnancy compared to IVF have led many authors to dismiss IUI and offer IVF first-line instead. ⋯ We confirm that IUI can be an efficient treatment in selected indications. Young patients with anovulatory infertility seem to be the ideal candidates, with a 39% LBR per couple.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyBaseline severe constipation negatively impacts functional outcomes of surgery for deep endometriosis infiltrating the rectum: Results of the ENDORE randomized trial.
Predictive factors of functional outcomes after the surgery of rectal endometriosis are not well identified. Our recent randomized trial did not find significant differences between functional outcomes in patients managed by radical or conservative rectal surgery. ⋯ Patients with severe preoperative constipation are less likely to achieve normal bowel movements after surgery for rectal endometriosis, using either radical or conservative rectal procedures.

Comparative StudyImpact of maternal age on intrapartum caesarean delivery rate in nulliparas with spontaneous labour.
The advanced maternal age rate increases in developed countries. Older women have more pre-existing condition than youngest women and develop more frequently obstetrical pathologies responsible for a higher rate of caesarean delivery before labour and labour induction. For aged nulliparous without pathology who experience spontaneous labour, there is few data on the mode of delivery and on physiological labour according to maternal age. ⋯ For nulliparous at term in spontaneous labour, an advanced maternal age was not associated with an increased intrapartum caesarean delivery rate.

Influence of the WOMAN trial on national wide standard operating procedures for treatment of postpartum hemorrhage.
Postpartum hemorrhage is the leading cause of maternal death. Recently, the WOMAN trial showed that early administration of tranexamic acid leads to a reduced mortality due to bleeding. The aim was to study whether the results of the WOMAN trial have influenced the institutional standard operating procedures in treating postpartum hemorrhage. ⋯ We recognized a correlation between the publication of the WOMAN trial and the administration of tranexamic acid at an early time-point in all standard operating procedures of the participating institutions to treat postpartum hemorrhage. In all those clinics whose algorithms initially did not contain any tranexamic acid, it was supplemented. This resulted in a 100% implementation of tranexamic acid.
