Premature ejaculation (PE) is a common sexual dysfunction for which selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) have been used effectively for treatment. However, compliance with therapy and predictors of long-term SSRI use in the treatment of PE are not well known. ⋯ Fluoxetine is an effective agent for the treatment of PE with significant improvement realized in IELT, ejaculatory control, and distress levels for both men and their partners. Despite its efficacy, continued use of fluoxetine beyond 6 months is poor. Jenkins LC, Gonzalez J, Tal R, et al. Compliance with Fluoxetine Use in Men with Primary Premature Ejaculation. An increasing number of patients are seeking premature ejaculation (PE) therapy online. Although health care information on the Internet about PE is abundant, the quality of information about its treatment on YouTube, the most visited online video streaming service, is unknown. ⋯ The study highlights data about the treatment of PE on YouTube. Videos with reliable information outnumbered those with nonreliable information. This is the first study to demonstrate that YouTube is an important source of data on PE management. Physicians and health care providers should contribute reliable content, and YouTube should remove deceptive videos before patients watch them Gul M, Diri MA. Attachment influences the way individuals anticipate, react, and seek support when faced with chronic pain. Although cross-sectional research indicates that attachment insecurity and pain self-efficacy are associated with pain intensity in chronic pain populations, little is known about their long-term effects on pain, and about the directionality of associations between these constructs. Furthermore, whereas attachment is a relational concept, few studies on genito-pelvic pain have espoused a couples' perspective. ⋯ This prospective dyadic study adds to a body of literature on PVD and chronic pain by empirically supporting theoretical models on attachment, pain self-efficacy, and persistent pain, and supports the role of psychosocial factors in the adjustment to PVD. Meta Analysis
A Systematic Review on Mindfulness Meditation-Based Interventions for Sexual Dysfunctions.
Mindfulness-based therapies (MBT) are more and more frequently used in the treatment of sexual dysfunctions; therefore, it seems very important to assess evidence-based data on the clinical efficacy of these interventions. ⋯ The effects of MBT in female sexual dysfunctions are promising. In future studies, the mindfulness-based monotherapies should be implemented to verify their potential in reducing symptoms of sexual dysfunction. More research is needed to explore the potential of MBT in the treatment of male sexual dysfunction. Jaderek I, Lew-Starowicz M. A Systematic Review on Mindfulness Meditation-Based Interventions for Sexual Dysfunctions. J Sex Med 2019;16:1581-1596.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to Increase Adherence to Penile Injection Therapy-Based Rehabilitation After Radical Prostatectomy: Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial.
Despite the importance of using penile injections as part of a penile rehabilitation program, men have difficulty complying with these programs. ⋯ ACT-ED is feasible and significantly increases the use of penile injections. ACT-ED also shows promise (moderate effects) for increasing satisfaction with penile injections and sexual self-esteem while decreasing sexual bother and prostate cancer treatment regret. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to Increase Adherence to Penile Injection Therapy-Based Rehabilitation After Radical Prostatectomy: Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial. J Sex Med 2019; 19:1398-1408.
