Chronic scrotal pain can be a difficult clinical entity to treat. Many different treatment options have been proposed. We describe the case of a young boy with chronic scrotal and inguinal pain on the right side, following two orchidopexies. After many therapies had failed, we treated the dorsal root ganglia of thoracic 12, lumbar 1 and lumbar 2 with pulsed radiofrequency, finally resulting in alleviation of his pain.

Assessment of pain and hemodynamic response in older children undergoing circumcision: comparison of eutectic lidocaine/prilocaine cream and dorsal penile nerve block.
To evaluate whether dorsal penile nerve block (DPNB) or local topical anesthesia (LT) provided better postoperative analgesia and less hemodynamic stimulation during and after circumcision surgery with Plastibell in older children. ⋯ Anesthesia with 5% lidocaine and 5% prilocaine cream during circumcision of older children with Plastibell under general anesthesia with sevoflurane does not provide satisfactory perioperative hemodynamic stability or postoperative analgesia.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study
Comparison of local anesthetic effects of lidocaine versus tramadol and effect of child anxiety on pain level in circumcision procedure.
To compare the local anesthetic effects of tramadol hydrochloride with those of lidocaine in circumcision procedures. We also investigated the effect of child anxiety on pain level. ⋯ Tramadol may not provide effective local anesthesia in male circumcision. The child's anxiety before the circumcision seems to have a negative effect on pain level.

(1) Determine the number of urologic conditions diagnosed by computed tomography (CT) in children in the emergency department setting. (2) Identify which diagnoses were incidental. (3) Determine how often there was urologic follow-up by a local pediatric urologist. ⋯ Many urologic diagnoses are revealed during CT scans of the abdomen and pelvis. The majority are cysts, hydroureteronephrosis, and pyelonephritis. Many incidental findings have also been revealed in the emergency department setting.

To investigate effects on rat testes of radiofrequency radiation emitted from indoor Wi-Fi Internet access devices using 802.11.g wireless standards. ⋯ These findings raise questions about the safety of radiofrequency exposure from Wi-Fi Internet access devices for growing organisms of reproductive age, with a potential effect on both fertility and the integrity of germ cells.
