Idiopathic calcification of the intervertebral disc is a rare condition in childhood, of unknown etiology. Calcifications are occasionally discovered on routine radiological examination, or on investigation of nonspecific symptoms such as neck pain, torticollis, fever, and radiculopathy. We report a case of a 7-year-old boy with intervertebral disc calcification. Clinical and radiological signs are discussed.

The term "fallen lung sign" refers to the collapsed lung in a dependent position, hanging on the hilum only by its vascular attachments. This is usually the result of the complete rupture of a bronchus. On chest radiograph, the diagnosis of bronchial tear is usually suspected with the persistence of a pneumothorax after chest tube insertion. An 8-year-old male patient had radiographic findings of persistence of right pneumothorax which was due to complete rupture of the right main bronchus, resulting in fallen lung.

To evaluate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) findings in popliteal artery entrapment syndrome. ⋯ Popliteal artery entrapment syndrome should be considered in patients younger than 50 years of age with isolated popliteal artery stenosis or occlusion. MRI is the preferred imaging modality for diagnosis of entrapment syndrome, and may obviate the use of DSA.

Alvarado scores and pain onset in relation to multislice CT findings in acute appendicitis.
To determine the correlation between clinical and multislice computed tomography (MSCT) findings of early- and late-stage acute appendicitis. ⋯ MSCT should be performed even in patients in whom the clinical suspicion of appendicitis is low. MSCT is effective in patients with early-stage appendicitis.

Case ReportsSolitary osteochondroma causing popliteal pseudoaneurysm that presented as a mass lesion.
Osteochondromas are the most frequently occurring bone tumors and can rarely lead to vascular complications. A 14-year-old boy with solitary exostosis of the right femur presented with a mass lesion at the posterior aspect of the thigh. Radiological studies demonstrated a popliteal artery pseudoaneurysm. In this case report, radiological findings of this lesion are reviewed.
