The objective of this study is to correlate clinical symptoms and functionality, using the KOOS (Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score) and KSS (Knee Society Score System) scores, with the radiographic changes, using the Kellgren-Lawrence classification, in patients with knee osteoarthritis and indications for Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA). ⋯ There is a weak correlation between the clinical-functional scores of TKA candidates and their radiographic classification by Kellgren-Lawrence. Among clinical scores evaluated, KSS had the strongest negative correlation with the radiographic classification.

To measure Quality of Life (QoL) and costs of Heart Failure (HF) outpatients in Brazil as an introduction to the Value-Based Health Care (VBHC) concept. ⋯ Patients with HF in Brazil have poor QoL and high treatment costs; both worsen as the NYHA classification increases. It seems that HF has a greater impact on the mental health of women. Costs increase mostly related to lab/exams. Accurate and crossed information about QoL and costs is essential to drive care and reimbursement strategies based on value.

This article focused on the correlation between the changes of serum total Immunoglobulin E (IgE) and Fractional exhaled Nitric Oxide (FeNO) and idiosyncratic reactions in children with bronchiolitis. ⋯ Serum total IgE and FeNO in children with bronchiolitis are related to disease severity and idiosyncratic reaction. FeNO has a diagnostic value for bronchiolitis, but not for idiosyncratic bronchiolitis.
