This study aims to analyze the relationship between the Kelch-like ECH-associated protein 1 (Keap1)/Nuclear factor-erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) and Epilepsy (EP), as well as its mechanism of action. ⋯ Inhibition of the Keap1/Nrf2 pathway can reverse the OS and neuron viability in EP rats.

This study aims to investigate the expression levels of Nerve Growth Factor (NGF), the precursor form of NGF (proNGF), and p75 neurotrophin receptor (p75NTR) in lung injury induced by cerebral Ischemia-Reperfusion (I/R) in both young and elderly rats. ⋯ Cerebral ischemia-reperfusion-induced lung injury was associated with increased expression of proNGF and p75NTR, as well as decreased NGF expression in lung tissue. These alterations in NGF, proNGF, and p75NTR may contribute to the susceptibility to age-related lung injury.

Experimental study utilizing with a standardized model (MASCIS Impactor) of Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) in Balb C mouse model with implantation of mononuclear stem cells derived from the human umbilical cord and placenta blood in the early chronic phase of SCI. ⋯ The use of stem cells in mice in the chronic phase after 3 and 6 weeks of SCI brings functional and histopathological benefits to them.

In the context of postoperative anal pain, understanding the intricate mechanisms and effective interventions is paramount. This study investigates the role of Muscarinic Acetylcholine Receptors (mAChRs) and the IP3-Ca2+-CaM signaling pathway in a rat model of postoperative anal pain, exploring the potential analgesic effects of electroacupuncture. ⋯ These findings reveal a novel connection between mAChRs and the IP3-Ca2+-CaM pathway in postoperative anal pain and suggest electroacupuncture as a promising avenue for pain relief through these mechanisms, offering insights into innovative strategies for postoperative pain management.

To investigate the influence of aerobic exercise on myocardial injury, NF-B expression, glucolipid metabolism and inflammatory factors in rats with Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) and explore the possible causative role. ⋯ Aerobic exercise can not only effectively reduce myocardial injury, the release of inflammatory factors and NF-B expression in CHD rats, but also improve cardiac function and glucolipid metabolism. Its mechanism is likely to be related to the inhibition of the NF-B signaling pathway.
