Late toxicity, evolving radiotherapy techniques, and quality of life in nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
To analyze quality of life (QoL) and functional state (FS) by patient-reported outcome (PRO) questionnaires (FACT-G, FACT-NP, PSS-HN, XeQOLS, and EQ-5D-3L) in long-term survivors nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) treated with conventional radiotherapy (RT) and intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT). ⋯ Our preliminary data suggest that age, older techniques, xerostomia, and hearing loss are negative predictors of QoL.

Incidence of greater trochanteric pain syndrome in patients suspected for femoroacetabular impingement evaluated using magnetic resonance arthrography of the hip.
We evaluated the incidence of greater trochanter pain syndrome (GTPS) in patients who underwent magnetic resonance arthrography (MRA) of the hip for a suspected femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) syndrome. ⋯ GTPS was more frequently observed in patients with normal hip morphology than in patients with FAI, particularly in patients under 40.

First experience of real-time elastography with transvaginal approach in assessing response to MRgFUS treatment of uterine fibroids.
Definition of the role of real-time elastography (RTE) in the evaluation of response to treatment of uterine fibroids using MRgFUS in symptomatic patients. ⋯ RTE is a valid method able to support standard ultrasound examination in the evaluation of uterine fibroids, since it allows demonstrating the decrease of rigidity, which can be quantified with the SR parameter. It could be included in a pre-treatment multiparametric evaluation of patients looking for MRgFUS eligibility and in follow-up when it could assess the response to treatment.

Comparative StudyComparison of retrospective PET and MRI-DWI (PET/MRI-DWI) image fusion with PET/CT and MRI-DWI in detection of cervical and endometrial cancer lymph node metastases.
The aim of this study was to compare the accuracy of retrospective image fusion of PET/MRI-DWI with that of PET/CT and MRI-DWI alone in detecting metastatic lymph nodes in patients with cervical and endometrial carcinoma. ⋯ PET/MRI-DWI may be a valuable technique for N-staging patients with endometrial and cervical cancer, but more studies are needed to investigate its potential clinical utility.

Added value of lung window in detecting drug mules on non-contrast abdominal computed tomography.
We evaluated the added value of lung window in non-contrast computed tomography (CT) of suspected body packers or stuffers. Forty suspected drug mules who were referred to our tertiary toxicology center were included. The final diagnosis of drug mule was based on the detection of packs in stool examination or surgery. ⋯ In the body packers group, the diagnostic performance of both abdominal windows scans and combined abdominal and lung windows scans were 100 %. In the body stuffers group, the sensitivity, NPV, and diagnostic accuracy of scans increased from 47.6, 52.1, and 55.0 to 52.3, 54.5, and 57.5 %, respectively, after the addition of lung windows. Reviewing the lung window on non-contrast abdominal CT can be helpful in detection of drug mules.
