Prophylactic occlusion balloon placement in internal iliac arteries for the prevention of postpartum haemorrhage due to morbidly adherent placenta: short term outcomes.
To evaluate outcomes of uterine conserving surgery with occlusion balloon technique. A critical review of the complications was performed. ⋯ The utilisation of Prophylactic occlusion balloon catheters allows uterine conserving surgery to be performed safely with few maternal complications.

Ultra-low-dose periradicular infiltration of the lumbar spine: spot scanning and its potential for further dose reduction by replacing helical planning CT.
Computed tomography (CT)-guided periradicular infiltration has become an accepted procedure for treating radiculopathy-associated low back pain. The purpose of this study is to compare spot scanning and segmental helical planning CT in terms of dose reduction. ⋯ Dedicated spot scanning for planning reduced the total median effective dose of the intervention by more than 64% without increasing the number of images required during the interventional procedure. Significant pain reduction was achieved with both approaches. Spot scanning is recommended for dose reduction.

Can ultrasonography-guided aspiration and steroid injection treat reflux venous blood flow around symptomatic Baker's cysts? Our short-term experience.
The aim of the current study was to investigate the efficacy of ultrasonography-guided aspiration treatment with concomitant steroid injection on relieving reflux blood flow in veins located next to symptomatic Baker's cyst. ⋯ Ultrasonography-guided puncture, aspiration and steroid injection seems to yield promising outcomes in terms of relieving venous reflux flow around simple Baker's cysts.

Whole body MRI with qualitative and quantitative analysis of DWI for assessment of bone marrow involvement in lymphoma.
Our study aimed to investigate the role of qualitative and quantitative whole body MRI with DWI for assessment of bone marrow involvement (BMI) in newly diagnosed lymphoma using FDG PET-CT and bone marrow biopsy (BMB) as reference standard. ⋯ Our data suggest that Wb-MRI-DWI is a valid technique for BMI assessment in lymphoma patients, thanks to its excellent concordance with FDG PET-CT and good concordance with BMB (superior than FDG PET-CT). If further investigations will confirm our results on larger patient groups, it could become a useful tool in the clinical workup.

A new CT-score as index of hemodynamic changes in patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension.
The aim of this study was to retrospectively assess the relationship between radiological and hemodynamic parameters in patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH). We introduced a new CT-score to evaluate hemodynamic changes, only employing CT-pulmonary angiography (CTPA). ⋯ Our results confirm the diagnostic role of CTPA in evaluating patients with CTEPH and in addition open a new horizon in assessing hemodynamic changes in patients with CTEPH, only employing a CTPA, especially when RHC is contraindicated or not possible.
