Stroke (CVA) in young adults comprises approximately 10% of all cerebrovascular events. The information available on the recurrence of a new event in this population and particularly in Latin America is limited. Our objective was to examine the presence of stroke recurrence after having presented a stroke. ⋯ The recurrence of neurovascular events occurs predominantly in patients with a history of previous stroke/TIA, probably secondary to diseases that are difficult to diagnose.

The Hospital Muñiz's "Strengthening Epidemiological Surveillance in Tuberculosis (VET) Project" is focused on improving operational outcomes, specifically by enhancing early TB diagnosis. Our primary aim is to promptly identify individuals with tuberculosis (TB) who seek care at our institution following the COVID-19 pandemic. ⋯ The application of this project will incorporate a strengthening activity in epidemiological surveillance, where the Muñiz Hospital, through a comprehensive approach and the identification of new cases, responds to the needs of the local population with TB. This will provide valid and reliable information for the prevention and control of TB in the institution after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Myocarditis is an inflammatory disease of the cardiac tissue of variable etiology, both infectious and non-infectious. Its presentation can range from asymptomatic to fulminant forms. We present the case of a 24-year-old male patient with a history of autoimmune hepatitis in compensated cirrhotic phase. ⋯ He had good postoperative evolution. However, he died two months after the transplant due to an opportunistic infection. The results of the biopsy of the explanted organ confirmed the diagnosis of lymphocytic myocarditis.

The Argentine Osteoporosis Society convened renowned specialists in the care of transgender people to prepare the first local position on the evaluation of bone health in this population. Law 26.743 on "Gender Identity" recognize all identities and guarantees free care throughout the health system. ⋯ To date the evidence remains limited and different societies have issued suggestions and recommendations. For this reason, we believe it is relevant to mention our experience, capturing through this document a series of suggestions to be used in medical care.
