Comparative Study Controlled Clinical TrialHysterosalpingo-contrast sonography versus radiographic hysterosalpingography in the evaluation of tubal patency.
To compare the efficacy of hysterosalpingo-contrast sonography (HyCoSy) using a saline solution with that of radiographic hysterosalpingography (HSG) in the assessment of tubal patency. ⋯ The HyCoSy procedure is well tolerated and can be used as a primary tool for the evaluation of tubal patency in infertile women.

Prospective, sequential, longitudinal study of coagulation changes during pregnancy in Chinese women.
To investigate changes and establish reference values for coagulation variables during normal pregnancy and after delivery in Chinese women. ⋯ These reference values may be used in the health assessment of pregnant women with a similar socioeconomic and ethnic background.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyRectal misoprostol versus intravenous oxytocin for prevention of postpartum hemorrhage.
To assess the effectiveness of 800 microg of rectal misoprostol compared with an intravenous infusion of 5 IU of oxytocin as prophylaxis against postpartum hemorrhage (PPH). ⋯ Routine use of 800 microg of rectal misoprostol was effective in reducing blood loss after delivery. We recommend the regimen for low-resource, busy obstetric settings.

To evaluate maternal deaths associated with eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, and the concurrence of these conditions. ⋯ Concurrent eclampsia and HELLP syndrome was diagnosed in 5-6 out of 10 deaths associated with eclampsia or HELLP syndrome in this review.
