Tamoxifen-induced endometrial changes in postmenopausal women with breast carcinoma.
To assess the effects of tamoxifen (TAM) on the endometrium in postmenopausal women. ⋯ All patients on tamoxifen need to be evaluated by clinical examination annually. A transvaginal sonogram and endometrial biopsy/hysteroscopy may be performed on patients with abnormal vaginal bleeding, bloody discharge, staining or spotting.

Clinical TrialLong-term treatment with nicardipine for severe pre-eclampsia.
To evaluate the safety of long-term nicardipine treatment in severely pre-eclamptic women and their fetuses/newborns. ⋯ Our results suggest that long-term treatment with nicardipine for severe pre-eclampsia is as effective and safe as a short- and medium-term treatment.

To determine the effect of the HIV epidemic on invasive cervical cancer in Kenya. ⋯ A two- to three-fold increase in HIV prevalence in Kenya did not seem to have a proportional effect on the incidence of cervical cancer. Yet, HIV-positive women who presented with cervical cancer were significantly younger than HIV-negative women.
