The main objective of this prospective study was to determine the impact of multiphasic acquisition of 68Ga-PSMA PET/CT in the detection of recurrent prostate cancer in the early stage of biochemical recurrence with a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) level of less than 1 ng/mL. Also, 68Ga-PSMA PET/CT positivity was correlated with clinical parameters for the assessment of predictive markers. Methods: A prospective monocentric study was conducted on 135 prostate cancer patients with biochemical recurrence and a PSA level of less than 1 ng/mL. ⋯ However, it showed limited value in patients with a PSA level of less than 0.5 ng/mL. Multiphasic 68Ga-PSMA PET/CT led to a better determination of equivocal findings. Although dynamic images may provide helpful information for assessment of the prostate bed, delayed acquisitions seem to have a greater impact in clarifying equivocal findings.

Repeatability of Quantitative 18F-DCFPyL PET/CT Measurements in Metastatic Prostate Cancer.
Quantitative evaluation of radiolabeled prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) PET scans may be used to monitor treatment response in patients with prostate cancer (PCa). To interpret longitudinal differences in PSMA uptake, the intrinsic variability of tracer uptake in PCa lesions needs to be defined. The aim of this study was to investigate the repeatability of quantitative PET/CT measurements using 18F-DCFPyL ([2-(3-(1-carboxy-5-[(6-18F-fluoro-pyridine-3-carbonyl)-amino]-pentyl)-ureido)-pentanedioic acid], a second-generation 18F-PSMA-ligand) in patients with PCa. ⋯ The repeatability of SUVpeak, TLU, and all patient-level metrics was not affected by PSF reconstruction. Conclusion: 18F-DCFPyL uptake measurements are quite repeatable and can be used for clinical validation in future treatment response assessment studies. Patient-based TTV may be preferred for multicenter studies because its repeatability was both high and robust to different image reconstructions.

We aimed to evaluate the diagnostic performance of 18F-FDG PET/CT for the detection of posttransplantation lymphoproliferative disorder (PTLD) in a pediatric population and explore its feasibility during response assessment. Methods: This retrospective study included 28 pediatric transplant recipients who underwent a total of 32 18F-FDG PET/CT scans due to clinical suspicion of PTLD within an 8-y period. Pathology reports and 2 y of follow-up were used as the reference standard. ⋯ Two of 5 interim 18F-FDG PET/CT scans and 3 of 9 end-of-treatment 18F-FDG PET/CT scans were false-positive. Conclusion: 18F-FDG PET/CT had good specificity and positive predictive value but low to moderate sensitivity and negative predictive value for the detection of PTLD in a 28-pediatric-patient cohort with a clinical suspicion of this disease. False-negative results were confirmed in the Waldeyer's ring, cervical lymph nodes, and small bowel with either nondestructive or polymorphic PTLD subtypes. 18F-FDG PET/CT appears to have a limited role in the response assessment setting of pediatric PTLD, given the observed high proportions of false-positives both at interim and at end-of-treatment evaluations.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has placed significant challenges on health-care systems worldwide, whether in the preparation, response, or recovery phase of the pandemic. This has been primarily managed by dramatically reducing in- and outpatient services for other diseases and implementing infection prevention and control measures. The impact of the pandemic on nuclear medicine departments and their services has not yet been established. ⋯ Conclusion: Both diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures declined precipitously, with countries worldwide being affected by the pandemic to a similar degree. Countries that were in the postpeak phase of the pandemic when they responded to the survey, such as South Korea and Singapore, reported a less pronounced impact on nuclear medicine services; however, the overall results of the survey showed that nuclear medicine services worldwide had been significantly impacted. In relation to staff health, 15% of respondents experienced COVID-19 infections within their own departments.
