Randomized Controlled TrialConical-PEP is safe, reduces lung hyperinflation and contributes to improved exercise endurance in patients with COPD: a randomised cross-over trial.
Does a new positive expiratory pressure device (conical-PEP) decrease lung hyperinflation during exercise in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease compared to normal breathing? Does it increase the duration of exercise? ⋯ The novel conical-PEP device decreases lung hyperinflation, is safe to use, and tends to increase the duration of exercise.

Randomized Controlled TrialInspiratory muscle training improves maximal inspiratory pressure and may assist weaning in older intubated patients: a randomised trial.
Does inspiratory muscle training improve maximal inspiratory pressure in intubated older people? Does it improve breathing pattern and time to wean from mechanical ventilation? ⋯ In intubated older people, inspiratory muscle training improves maximal inspiratory pressure and the index of Tobin, with a reduced weaning time in some patients.

Reduced active control and passive range at the shoulder increase risk of shoulder pain during inpatient rehabilitation post-stroke: an observational study.
What factors at admission are associated with shoulder pain during stroke rehabilitation? ⋯ Shoulder pain is common and occurs early after stroke. Reduced active control and passive range at the shoulder appear to be risk factors for shoulder pain during inpatient rehabilitation post-stroke.
