The purpose of this qualitative study is to describe the clinical course of two patients who presented with new-onset seizures within hours of vaping and to survey neurologists' screening for vaping in such patients. A 30-subject single-institution survey found that 19 out of 30 neurology providers have not been subjectively qualifying vaping as a potential seizure-provoking factor since the 2019 emergence of literature on this topic. Inquiring about vaping during a new-onset seizure assessment could lead to earlier recognition of a seizure-provoking factor. Further investigations into the epileptogenicity of vaping are needed and the utility of AntiEpileptic Drug (AED) initiation for these patients is currently unknown.

Go for Green® (G4G) is an evidence-based, multi-component nutrition program for military dining facilities (DFAC) to improve nutritional fitness among Service Members. The program evolved from supporting "fueling" during initial Army training into a robust intervention across all U.S. Military branches. The current G4G program consists of eight program requirements to optimize the nutrition environment, including traffic light labeling, nutritious menus, choice architecture, food promotion, marketing, and staff training. The evolution of the G4G program, development of standardized program requirements, and lessons learned are described. ⋯ G4G 2.0 is a robust, innovative, multi-component, performance nutrition program with clear program element requirements. Value was added to elevate the G4G program by setting program requirements, expanding program components, and establishing a centralized resource hub. Performance nutrition initiatives in local military DFAC for dining facilities, such as G4G 2.0, has great potential to impact the health and well-being of Service Members.

The differential diagnosis of vesiculobullous lesions can be intimidating to the primary care provider. While some entities such as bullous impetigo may easily be diagnosed clinically if the patient's demographics as well as the lesion morphology and distribution present classically, atypical presentations may require additional laboratory studies for confirmation. We describe a case of bullous impetigo with characteristics that clinically mimicked two rare immunobullous dermatoses. Although extensive diagnostic testing was performed, we recommend an approach for primary care providers to initiate empiric treatment while maintaining awareness of less common immunobullous entities.

Transient Proximal Median Nerve Entrapment in a Tetraplegic Hand Cyclist Following a 24-Hour Endurance Race.
Median nerve entrapment is a frequent disorder encountered by all clinicians at some point of their career. Affecting the distal median nerve, entrapment occurs most frequently at the level of the wrist resulting in a carpal tunnel syndrome. Median nerve entrapment may also occur proximally giving rise to the much less frequent pronator teres syndrome and even less frequent anterior interosseous nerve syndrome, which owing to the paucity of cases may prove challenging to diagnose. An unusual case of anterior interosseous syndrome precipitated by extraordinary exertion in a tetraplegic endurance athlete is presented with ancillary dynamometric, electrodiagnostic, ultrasonographic, and biochemical findings.

In the military, good oral health is essential for combat readiness. The Royal Netherlands Armed Forces (RNAF) Dental Service is responsible for delivering a high standard of dental care to soldiers to ensure that commanding officers can deploy dentally fit troops. Oral health inequalities are associated with lower socioeconomic status. Rank is reflective of social status within the military hierarchy. The aim of this study was to analyze differences in the oral health status of RNAF personnel in relation to ranks and other determinants. ⋯ The lowest ranked military personnel are more frequently classified as dentally unfit for deployment than officers and NCOs due to oral health conditions. This is important when considering the allocation of dental resources to maximize the pool of deployable personnel.
